Duo Geminiani
Duo Geminiani brings together violinist Gian Marco Sanna and pianist Valeria Affatato in a musical partnership rooted in artistic excellence, sonic authenticity, and a shared commitment to classical music at 432Hz.
Formed under the artistic vision of Geminiani Foundation, the Duo carries forward the Foundation’s commitment to 432Hz as the original tuning frequency of the classical tradition, bringing warmth, depth, and natural resonance to every concert.
Their repertoire spans four centuries of music, from Vivaldi to Morricone, offering audiences not simply a concert, but an immersive musical experience grounded in history, research, beauty, and passion.
Gian Marco Sanna
Gian Marco Sanna is an Italian violinist and violist born in Sardinia, with an international career spanning Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the United Kingdom. He has performed as soloist and held leadership positions in major orchestras across Europe, bringing to each role a musical vision rooted in historical research and artistic integrity. He studied at the Conservatories of Cagliari and Milan, and completed his musical formation under distinguished teachers including Felice Cusano and Jean-Philippe Vasseur. Early in his career he co-founded Progetto Europa 2000, establishing sixteen music schools across Sardinia — a project that shaped his lifelong commitment to music education. As a teacher, several of his students have received awards in international competitions. As founder and artistic director of The Geminiani Project, he has dedicated his work to the restoration of 432 Hz as the original tuning frequency of the classical tradition, leading what has become the world's only classical music project dedicated exclusively to the 432 Hz, a vision recognised internationally and featured in 432 Activists, the independent documentary by Brazilian filmmaker Toni Mazzotti.
